The headline was determined before contrasting the facts: he had to say that these are the Budgets with the highest public spending in history.

Then it will be seen if that expense is matched to the expected income.

To date, the sanchismo has not shown any competence in economic management or fiscal balance:

in its first two years it governed with the Rajoy Budgets out of pure parliamentary weakness and in the last it has limited itself to firing spending

under cover of the suspension of the

European stability rule on the occasion of the pandemic.

What no one can deny Sanchismo is its expertise as an electoral machine.

And that is what he continues to do with everyone's money.

And not even with the present money but with the one that, in an exercise of accounting optimism close to sleight of hand, the Government hopes to collect in the coming months if all the stars of the economic recovery align.

All governments are overly optimistic when presenting their accounts.

But in doing so

none had come from incurring an embarrassing deviation of almost two points in the macroeconomic picture

, as the National Institute of Statistics has just corrected Calviño.

To ignore the INE to persist with stubbornness in the corrected reference is to cheat the loner.

But Moncloa does not work in such a long term but strictly to win the next elections, starting with the regional ones.

This is the only way to explain the gifts and raises designed according to well-defined voting niches: pensioners, civil servants and young people.

It is about reinforcing the captive vote and trying to extend it to young people.

But far from attacking the scandalous 40% youth unemployment, they are trying to seduce them with burdensome signs of paternalism: a rent aid that has already failed with Zapatero and a cultural bonus.

As always,

the weight of that vicarious generosity will be loaded on the squeezed middle classes

, which must make a fiscal effort capable of satisfying the more than 100,000 million euros that the Government expects to enter through personal income tax. It will not be the big businessmen or the rich who pay for Sánchez's propaganda plan, because spending increases above the collection attributed to the increase in Corporation Tax, which will not leave appreciable amounts in the public coffers and also drives away investment, but it allows channeling the anti-capitalist demagoguery of the radical left. The plan is the same as always - that the average salaried taxpayer finances the electoral promises that the left throws at its sociological base - only this time it has been brought to a halt.

In order to balance the rain of Christmas bonuses, there are 27,600 million of European funds, which have neither arrived nor arrive without conditions nor can they be spent on what Moncloa wants, in theory.

Will Europe allow part of that money to end up financing the demands of Bildu and ERC, which we still do not know?

Because at the moment we only know the high price of the agreement between the two parties that make up the coalition;

we lack the addendum in the form of extraordinary investments for Catalan and Basque nationalism

, who acts as Sánchez's landlord in Moncloa and prepares to bill him.

The bad thing is that we will all pay for it.
