The discovery of a "luxury royal toilet" dating back 2,700 years in Jerusalem

Excavators discovered an ancient "luxury" toilet dating back more than 2,700 years, during excavations for antiquities inside an old royal palace in occupied Jerusalem.

In reference to the fact that the inhabitants of that city knew what is currently called "the Frankish bath" about three thousand years ago!


And according to what CNN reported yesterday, the private toilet room dates back to the end of the seventh century BC, and it was discovered in the remains of the palace overlooking the Temple Mount.


The bathroom is made of stone, a rectangular hut with a toilet carved above a septic tank, and “the toilet made of limestone is designed for comfortable seating and has a hole in the middle.”


According to the report, the septic tank under the toilet contained a large amount of pottery and animal bones, which were collected along with the soil filler.
