In the trial of singer Udo Lindenberg's (75) stolen Porsche, the defendant was acquitted of this charge by the Hamburg-St.-Georg district court.

The 26-year-old was sentenced to two years and three months in prison on Wednesday for joint theft in three other cases, the court press office said.

The judgment is not yet final (file number: 944 Ls 202/21).

Abendblatt.de had previously reported.

At the start of the trial on September 22nd, the defendant had denied any involvement in the theft of the Lindenberg Porsche, but admitted through his lawyer that he was present in the three other acts.

According to the indictment, he and strangers stole car keys from lockers in indoor swimming pools in October and November 2019 and then stole three cars.

The panic rocker's sports car was stolen from the Hotel Atlantic's underground car park on June 22, 2020.

A few days later the car was rediscovered in a garage in Ahrensburg in Schleswig-Holstein.

The vehicle is a Porsche 911 R, of which only 991 copies were built.

The value of the car is currently estimated at around 600,000 euros.
