A few minutes after the announcement of the death of the former director of information for the station Etienne Mougeotte, Charles Villeneuve, greeted a "journalist with exceptional flair".

"What guided him at first was his common sense and his keen sense of current affairs, whether French or international," he said in particular.

A few minutes after the announcement of the death of Etienne Mougeotte at 81 years old this Thursday, an information Europe 1, Charles Villeneuve, great voice of the radio greeted the memory of the former director of information of Europe 1 and ex-number 2 of TF1 for 20 years.

Étienne Mougeotte had started his long career in the

Paris-Normandie 

newspaper 

before approaching radio and living a rich adventure at Europe 1, where he notably launched the Press Club as director of information.

He then left on TF1, where he was number 2 for Patrick Le Lay for twenty years, between 1987 and 2007.
