The 11,000 m2 extension will repatriate all the services, still installed in the former Marc-Jacquet site, by 2023.

The structure will host several centers, one of which will be dedicated to geriatrics with several facilities: an Ehpad with 144 beds, a long-term care unit (USLD) with 41 beds, a day care center (Caja) with 14 places. and a center of activities and adapted care (Pasa), to offer specific workshops to nursing home residents.

A nursery with 60 cradles

In the future premises, a nursery with 60 cradles will be offered to staff, as well as a boarding school with 35 places for hospital trainees.

Without forgetting an amphitheater of 200 places, specify our colleagues.

Dominique Peljak, director of the Melun hospital, insists that, if Santépôle2 is well built on part of the car park, “there will be no impact for visitors”.

He adds that discussions are still underway to find out what will happen to the former Marc-Jacquet hospital, when all activities have been transferred.
