During the National Day, the Xiamen Coastal Police Bureau coordinated and arranged forces to organize 2 law enforcement ships daily to carry out special law enforcement operations on the "Deep Sea Guard" submarine cable pipe protection, and continuously improved patrol inspections and controls through detour inspections, communication verification, and AIS comparisons. Intensive, all-weather supervision and inspection of past ships and production operations in the waters within 2 nautical miles on both sides of the "Xiajin", "Xiagu" and "Songgu" submarine cables to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the submarine cables in the Xiamen waters during the National Day.
The Xiamen Coast Guard reminds: The majority of marine fishing boats should carefully understand and be familiar with the route of the submarine optical cable, actively avoid the submarine optical cable protection area when operating at sea, and it is strictly forbidden to drop anchors or tow within 600 meters on both sides of the submarine optical cable route. Anchor, bottom drag fishing or other operations that endanger the safety of submarine cables.
