The Ministry of Natural Resources also noted a twofold increase over the past 20 years in the number of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena that have caused significant damage to the environment.

Earlier, the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) reported that in ten Russian regions the indicators for the processing of solid municipal waste exceeded 79%, and in two of them (Moscow and Oryol regions) they reached 100%.
