If the circulation of Covid-19 is declining everywhere in France, in the department of Aude, it is still there.

Since Tuesday, the 900 students of the Joseph-Delteil college in Limoux, in Aude, have been warned that their establishment will close its doors for a week.

A measure taken after the discovery of "several positive cases among the teaching staff and the children", indicated the director of cabinet of the prefecture of Aude, Joëlle Gras.

In total, according to the rectorate, about thirty cases have been identified in the college.

If the lessons no longer take place face-to-face, the students will have to be behind their computer.

"This is not a closure of the college, the courses will be provided at a distance from Wednesday and for a week, to limit any mixing," said the representative of state services.

If the indicators are well below 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the whole of the department, it is a little less the case in the territory of Limoux, in particular the middle and upper valley of the Aude.

A reinforcement of the sanitary pass controls and the wearing of the mask in this sector will take place.

The prefecture also insists on vaccination, the district of Limoux being that of the department which "presents the lowest rate of vaccination coverage".
