There are no limits to humanitarian work, and societal contributions, as it is a wide and wide field, and whoever has the conviction of the private sector, merchants, and companies, of the importance of returning even a small part of the nation’s beauty to it, will not be unable to innovate in providing useful and important ideas for society, benefiting different segments and groups Human beings, and will never be unable to cooperate and strengthen partnership with various government sectors, to reach distinguished projects that have a direct positive impact on the lives of community members.

Last week, the Dubai Ambulance Corporation received from Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor the second batch of 14 ambulances, as part of a community initiative launched by the Al Habtoor Group, through which it received 50 ambulances equipped with the latest technologies, to rescue and rescue patients, worth Combined, approximately 23 million dirhams.

In the same context and direction, Al Naboodah Automotive Company, in partnership and work with Dubai Police, provided 100 Audi A6 cars equipped with the latest technologies, in support of driving programs and activities in various forums and events, which reflects thought and awareness in the form and quality of community contribution. A necessary and vital service for everyone in the city, and will inevitably contribute to saving very many lives, for many years to come.

The government will not be unable to provide ambulances or police, and it spends billions annually on the ambulance and security sectors in particular, and billions more on the rest of the sectors. The key to the profits of this sector, and the government is the one that facilitates and provides all possibilities for business success, maximizing the benefit of the private sector, and the partnership between the government and the private sector is the basis for the success of any market or economy.

Therefore, societal contributions in all industrialized and developed countries are considered a priority that cannot be ignored, and a general culture spreads with conviction and awareness among large companies, and global businessmen and tycoons, and examples of this are very many, but here this culture is still modest, and we still lack community initiatives by the private sector. Hence, the importance of the action of the two businessmen Khalaf Al Habtoor and Khalifa Al Naboodah, who took important and required steps in this direction, because of their belief in the importance of giving back to the homeland and society, which we hope to see soon from the rest of the merchants and national and foreign companies alike.

A beautiful word that Khalaf Al Habtoor said at the ambulance delivery ceremony caught my attention: “We always hear demands from individuals and companies to the government, why did the government not do this, and why did it not provide this, and we hear different complaints daily, but before that did each of us ask ourselves, what did you do? I am for the government and for society?!”

An important question that every person must ask himself, and important and necessary initiatives for society that require us to redraw the course of charitable and community work to serve the interest of the entire community in an orderly and beneficial manner.
