In the late 1950s and early 1960s, due to livelihoods, Zhang Fugui and Wang Yinhai’s parents abandoned the two brothers in Shanghai.
Later, the two brothers were sent to an orphanage in Shanghai and successively adopted by kind people in Yu County, Yangquan, Shanxi Province.
After that, the two brothers went to Xilinjiang Village in Niucun Township, Yuxian County, and Ciyaopo Village in the same town.
The two brothers, who were less than 30 miles apart, did not know each other's whereabouts, and lost contact for 61 years.

On September 1, 2021, the Gaoyou City Public Security Bureau received a request for assistance from the Sunshine Volunteer Association of the city: the blood sample of Wang Yinhai's relatives was compared with the Jiang family in Linze Town, the city.
After receiving assistance from the investigation, Gaoyou Public Security Bureau arranged for police to conduct investigations under the guidance and help of the Criminal Police Detachment of Yangzhou Public Security Bureau.
After screening a large amount of data, the police finally found the second brother and second sister of the seeker, Jiang Wanquan and Jiang Wanyun, residents of Linze Town.
The Linze Police Station immediately collected Jiang Wanquan’s blood sample and compared it overnight. At the same time, it was more expensive than Zhang Fu, a westerner from Zhongshan.
Jiang Wanquan and his second sister Jiang Wanyun told their two younger brothers that the family was too poor back then, and their parents had no choice. With the idea of finding a way for the two children, they rushed to Shanghai from Gaoyou and dumped them on the streets of Shanghai. The city was adopted by people with good conditions, which changed the destiny of the children.
Now that the two elders have both passed away, they have been talking about these two sons during their lifetime, hoping that the brothers will not blame their parents.
The brothers Zhang Fugui and Wang Yinhai said that although they were abandoned by their parents since childhood and have had a twists and turns in their lives, they never resented their biological parents. They also understood their helpless actions back then and thanked them for giving birth to themselves and giving them life.
