“TO LIVE IS TO FIGHT!

"

Why this book?

  • Because it is a moving book, inspired by a true story,

that of an important figure in the history of the Balkans little known in France: Yané Sandanski, a Bulgarian revolutionary who took part in the Macedonian movement against the domination of the Ottomans in Macedonia.

The first volume takes place from 1878 to 1905 and we are already eager to discover the rest.

  • Because the historian Mercia Mac Dermott has documented a lot

to retrace the life of a man whose sense of justice and charisma have made him a real war hero.

The dates are precise, the facts detailed, the events carefully described.

  • Because this authentic story turns out to be pleasant to read,

despite the mention “historical document based on real facts” at the beginning of the book which could lead one to believe in a text that is too sharp, which it is not.
