The ranking that changes everything!

Ted Sarandos, the co-CEO of Netflix unveiled this Monday during the Code conference new audience figures for the content available on the platform, taking into account not only the number of accounts having watched at least two minutes during 28 days after its first broadcast, but the number of hours spent watching a program, in the 28 days after its first broadcast.

"We are trying to be more transparent," said Ted Sarandos.

While the first calculation method does reflect the popularity of a program when it is put online, it does not indicate the real audiences for the content.

How do you know if a subscriber who has watched a program for a few minutes has continued or stopped viewing it?

The Bridgerton Chronicle

by Shonda Rhimes, undisputed queen of American television, climbs both to first place in the most viewed series with more than 82 million subscribers reached, but also to the top of the ranking of series classified by hours of viewing (watched by subscribers for 625 million hours)

The rest of the ranking changes depending on the calculation method used.

If

Lupine

follows with the first method of calculation, the series carried by Omar Sy is no longer in the top 10 which counts the number of hours of viewing.

The Lady's Game

, winner of the Emmy Award, for best miniseries, or

Emily in Paris

and

Sex / Life

come out of the rankings.
