He threatened to commit suicide and accidentally killed his grandfather

Today, Tuesday, a lower court sentenced a university student to two years in prison for accidentally causing the death of his grandfather, when a bullet fired from a pistol with which he was threatening to shoot himself.

The court criminalized the accused with a misdemeanor of “causing death after it was modified from murder, because the bullet was released as a result of a mistake by the accused’s lack of caution, which led to the injury and death of his grandfather,” according to the “Ruya” news website.

In the details, the accused in his twenties resides with his father in his grandfather's house, as his father is separated from his mother, and the victim was interfering in the life of his accused grandson, and asking him to study continuously.

On the day of the accident, a verbal altercation took place between the accused and his grandfather, after which he first entered his grandfather’s room, took an old pistol belonging to his grandfather, and threatened that he would shoot himself.

Then his grandmother grabbed him, and begged him to leave the gun, but a bullet was fired by mistake, who had come to the room where the accused was located, in order to dissuade him from shooting himself.
