The sports daily and the weekly news "L'Équipe" and "Le Point" will no longer be available in digital kiosks from next year. The objective of the two press titles is to reorient the readers of its platforms towards its own subscription offers, which are more lucrative and more complete.

Le Point

in digital kiosks is almost over.

And

L'Equipe

, too.

Digital kiosks are those sites or applications that give unlimited access to a very large number of magazines or dailies, in exchange for a single monthly subscription of around ten euros.

These platforms include, for example, the Epresse and Cafeyn brands.

The two newspapers

L'Equipe

and

Le Point

have decided not to renew their agreement.

They will therefore no longer be available on these platforms in 2022.

Media and readership both winners

Readers of the sports daily and the news weekly will still be able to access digital versions of these two media.

But only by subscribing to a direct subscription.

And this is the objective of these newspapers: to increase their number of subscribers, and therefore the resulting income, greater than those from digital kiosks.

But these direct subscriptions, via each media's own subscription formulas, are also a good thing for readers.

More developed, they do not only understand the PDF of the newspaper.

They also offer exclusive content, in new forms such as documentaries, videos and podcasts.
