Affected by the recent continuous heavy rainfall, the middle and lower reaches of the Weihe River and the main and tributary streams of the Handan River were generally flooded. At 19:00 on September 25, a flood of 3120 cubic meters per second occurred at the Lintong Hydrological Station on the main stream of the Weihe River, forming the second flood of the Weihe River in 2021.
In the later period, most of the rainfall in Shaanxi Province continued, and the flood control situation was severe.
The Shaanxi Provincial Water Resources Department launched the provincial level IV emergency response for flood and drought disaster prevention at 20:00 on the 25th, and issued an emergency notice.
