Rumors are haunting the icon of Arab music again.. and the Syrian Artists Syndicate: Sabah Fakhri is fine

After many social media pages promoted the news, today, Sunday, the Artists Syndicate in Syria denied the rumor of the death of the great artist Sabah Fakhri.

The union said in a statement on its Facebook page that the icon of Arab music is fine, and the rumors about his death are not true, after communicating with him by phone, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA) today.

It is noteworthy that Sabah Fakhri was born in Aleppo in 1933, and was awarded the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent Class in 2007 in recognition of his great and distinguished achievements in the service of authentic Arab art.

He was elected captain of artists, vice-president of the Arab Artists Union and director of the Syrian Song Festival, and he hit the singing record when he sang in Caracas, Venezuela, for 10 hours without interruption in 1968.
