In Paris, the first edition of the African Book Fair takes place at the town hall of the 6th arrondissement in the Latin Quarter.

This event, which intends to be an annual meeting over three days, intends to celebrate the richness of African literature and its authors, known or beginners.

Marco Nezim Tibwi is one of several dozen self-published authors who have been invited to this fair.

He came from Germany on purpose for

this first edition

There was no question of leaving aside those that the public does not yet know for Erick Monjour, the organizer of this event: “

 We organized two-hour dedication slots so that they could be present.

The idea was to allow everyone to see a little piece of the living room.

It is interesting that they are there ”.

From confirmed authors to educational books

They are there alongside dozens of confirmed authors such as the Rwandan Scholastic Mukasonga or the Franco-Cameroonian Gaston-Paul Effa. This fair is also interested in the youngest readers. A space is particularly dedicated to educational books such as those by Congolese Mukazali:

“These are early

learning

books with themes. For example, I do the numbers and the human body. It is translated into French, Lingala, Swahili and Tshiluba. There you go, I'm here today. It's a first edition and you really had to be there ”.
