  He pointed out that, as the legislature of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Legislative Council is responsible for supervising and cooperating with the Special Administrative Region Government to implement the relevant measures of the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan as soon as possible, including reviewing and approving fiscal budgets, approving taxation and public affairs based on the proposals of the Special Administrative Region Government.   Liang Junyan also stated that the Legislative Council attaches great importance to support for Hong Kong’s promotion of its status as an international financial, shipping, trade center and international aviation hub, and support for Hong Kong’s construction of an international innovation and technology center.
