The Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission stated that carrying electric bicycles and other vehicles in the station has low fire protection performance, cannot be effectively extinguished as soon as possible after a fire occurs, may block passages, affect evacuation and other safety issues. There are problems in underground spaces where subway stations and trains are relatively closed. There is a greater safety risk, and the prohibition of electric mobility tools from entering the subway conforms to the current fire safety situation and the safety requirements of the majority of passengers, and should be prohibited.
The problem of the driving industry and the last mile commuting can be solved by other transportation methods such as shared bicycles.
