A 24-hour relay global charity performance connecting major cities around the world was held. BTS became the first performer in Seoul, and tens of thousands of spectators attended large-scale live concerts in New York and Paris.

<Reporter> The

'Permission to Dance' stage performed by BTS in front of Sungnyemun marked the opening of Global Citizen Live.

It is a large-scale charity performance held as a 24-hour relay connecting major cities around the world.

It was held by Global Citizen, an international charity with the purpose of solving the problems of COVID-19, climate change and poverty together.

Last year, the group also held a global charity concert to overcome Corona, raising $127 million.

Last year, it was an online event composed of videos taken at home by stars, but this year the live concert is back.

[Shawn Mendes/Singer: It is the first time in two and a half years to perform live in front of an audience. It's really magical.] At the

Eiffel Tower Square in Paris, where Elton John and Ed Sheeran sang, 20,000 spectators who tested negative for Corona or who had been vaccinated gathered.

In New York's Central Park, where 60,000 people gathered, Prince Harry and his wife called for an end to vaccine inequality.

[Meghan Markle/Prince of Great Britain: People in this country (USA) and many other countries can go almost anywhere and get vaccinated, but billions of people around the world don't.]

And this year after Billie Eilish, Coldplay Simon & Garfunkel's Paul Simon, who turned 80, received enthusiastic acclaim on the New York stage.

The live performance was broadcast on YouTube and broadcast, and people all over the world enjoyed it together.
