Chiba Prefecture has decided to introduce a new device that can remotely grasp the condition of pregnant women who are infected with the new coronavirus and are being treated at home.

In Chiba prefecture, in August, a new type of corona was infected in Kashiwa City, and an 8-month-pregnant woman who was undergoing medical treatment at home could not adjust the hospitalization in time, and a baby born prematurely at home died.

In order to prevent infection, family doctors often cannot see pregnant women directly, and the issue is how to quickly grasp the condition of pregnant women. We have decided to introduce a total of 50 devices that can be used.

By attaching a sensor to the abdomen, this device can measure the heart rate of the fetal and the intensity and frequency of labor, and the data can be checked at a remote location.

Six perinatal maternal and child medical centers commissioned by the prefecture rent out equipment to pregnant women at the request of their family doctors, and if there are signs or abnormalities of delivery, hospitalization adjustment can be started promptly in October. We are planning to start operation in the meantime.

Chiba Prefecture has begun to introduce a new system that allows pregnant women to inquire about hospitalization destinations all at once using the Internet, and plans to strengthen support for pregnant women. I would like to support as much as possible by utilizing these devices so that I can do it. "
