Director of the Department of Social Culture, Ouyang Yu, said at the meeting that in response to the changes in the epidemic, the SAR government has adopted strict prevention and control measures to curb the spread of the new crown virus in Macau and fully protect the lives of residents.

  There were two imported-associated confirmed cases in Macau on September 24 and 25.

Ouyang Yu introduced that according to the assessment of the Coordination Center for Coordinating the Response to the Novel Coronavirus Infection, Macau faces the risk of community spread and outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

In order to prevent the spread of the virus in Macau, the SAR government announced that starting from 0:00 on September 25, Macau will enter a state of immediate prevention and initiate a zoning and grading precision prevention and control plan.

  In order to proactively and quickly search for cases in potential communities, the Macau SAR government announced that from 3 pm on September 25 to 3 pm on September 28, the second round of national nucleic acid testing program will be launched.

The relevant arrangements are carried out in accordance with the optimized plan announced earlier, and necessary appointment measures are taken. People with special needs can enter through the priority channel by appointment; and some elderly and disabled persons who cannot make an appointment can choose to go to the "care station without appointment" "Detection.

  In order to cope with the epidemic prevention and control work, from now until October 3, non-higher education schools in Macau will be suspended, and colleges and universities will suspend face-to-face teaching activities; crowd gathering activities such as culture, sports, and tourism will also be suspended or postponed.

  In addition, the Macao Special Administrative Region government also announced that from 0:00 on September 25, all persons leaving Macao must hold a certificate of a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours, and appealed to the public not to leave the country unless necessary.
