According to a newspaper report, it should be mandatory to take protective masks with you in the car.

As the Düsseldorfer Blatt Rheinische Post reports, even after the corona pandemic, vehicle drivers will have to have two mouth and nose covers with them in the future.

A spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Transport confirmed this to the newspaper.

Accordingly, the masks should be added to the prescribed contents of the first-aid kit in cars, trucks and buses.

It is intended to implement the requirement with the next change in the road traffic licensing regulations - it is expected to take effect next year.

According to the report, anyone who does not add two masks to the first-aid kit will face a fine.

So far, five euros are due if the first aid kit is incomplete.
