According to the official Weibo news of the People’s Government Office of Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Yunnan, at about 22:20 on September 24, a self-use iron boat sunk in the Sixing section of Shigu Town, Yulong County, Jinsha River. The accident caused 6 people to fall into the water (1 rescued himself and 5 people were unaccounted for).
After the accident, the city and county party committees and governments attached great importance to them and quickly organized rescue forces to carry out rescue work.
At present, there are 4 search and rescue vessels and more than 230 rescuers are doing their utmost to continue the search and rescue work.
Cause of the accident is under further investigation.
