A German died in the Salzburg region when he fell from his e-bike.
The 53-year-old from Baden-Württemberg had lost his way in a slight left turn near Rauris and then fell into a stream bed, the police in Austria announced on Saturday.
A companion rushed to help the mountain biker, who was reportedly wearing a helmet.
The 53-year-old died at the accident site despite immediate resuscitation measures.
The police have not yet been able to say exactly where the man came from in Baden-Württemberg.
