China News Service, Beijing, September 24th, title: US intervention in Hong Kong affairs exposes strategic conspiracy

On September 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China issued the "Facts List of the United States Interfering in Hong Kong Affairs and Supporting Anti-China Troubles in Hong Kong", which enumerated more than 100 basic facts in 5 categories, and the content was shocking.

As can be seen from the list, since 2019, the United States has intervened in China’s Hong Kong affairs through domestic legislation, economic sanctions, issued anti-China reports and statements, sheltered and supported Hong Kong disruptors, and gathered allies to interfere in China’s Hong Kong affairs in an attempt to disrupt China from the inside. So as to realize the strategic intention of the United States to maintain its own hegemony.

Since the "Regulations Amendment Disturbance" occurred in Hong Kong in 2019, the United States has continuously provided material support and public opinion support for anti-China chaos in Hong Kong, and created opportunities for them to visit the United States and various voice channels.

The United States ignores the atrocities committed by the insurgents in Hong Kong, and perversely acts to beautify it as a "fighter of freedom and democracy."

The irony is that the United States is still doing its utmost to investigate the riots on Capitol Hill and hunt down the demonstrators.

At the same time, however, American politicians have continued to pressure China to release anti-China chaos in Hong Kong. This practice has fully exposed the double standards and hypocrisy of the United States on the issue of values.

By abolishing Hong Kong’s special preferential treatment, prohibiting the export of technology to Hong Kong, and discrediting Hong Kong’s business environment, the United States will not hesitate to suffer economic losses, but it will also create obstacles to Hong Kong’s economic development.

Its purpose is to create and amplify the negative emotions of the Hong Kong people, to instigate the opposition between Hong Kong and the Mainland, and to "pump fresh blood" for the anti-China forces that disrupt Hong Kong.

Not only that, the United States has also imposed a series of sanctions against officials of the central government and the SAR government, preaching the so-called "precision strikes," in order to create "disturbance" between the people of Hong Kong and the government.

In addition, the United States' consistent unilateralist approach and "America first" style of action have deeply hurt the relationship between the United States and its allies.

Under the premise that actual conflicts of interests cannot be resolved, the United States is trying to command the heroes under the banner of values, and by creating a "common enemy" to strengthen the unity within the US allies system.

The Hong Kong issue has therefore become the starting point for the United States to gather allies and build an anti-China alliance.

The above facts all show that the real concern of the United States is definitely not the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and the well-being of Hong Kong people. For the United States, Hong Kong is only a bargaining chip for the United States to contain China.

In recent years, the division of American society, the intensification of racial and class antagonism, and the continuation of the new crown pneumonia epidemic have all accelerated the relative decline of American power.

The failure of overseas military operations such as the Iraq and Afghanistan wars has even more exposed the weakness of US hegemony.

Some people in the U.S. strategy toward China are very clear that the U.S. wants to continue to use "strength and status" to contain China's rise. This is obviously unrealistic. Therefore, some people are trying to disrupt China from within.

It is against this background that we have seen the United States fully exert its efforts on issues involving China's sovereignty, such as Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Taiwan, and hope to seek an advantageous position in the competition with China.

However, history has repeatedly proved that China will not waver on issues involving its own sovereignty, let alone succumb to hegemony.

The unique status of Hong Kong is conferred by the Basic Law, and the Hong Kong National Security Law will also escort the effective implementation of "One Country, Two Systems" and the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. These will not change with the will of the United States.

The US intervention in Hong Kong affairs and its dark strategic attempts should be further exposed.

At the same time, it also reminds us that only by consolidating domestic consensus, especially the consensus of Hong Kong society, can the US strategic conspiracy be completely bankrupt.
