A Saudi family in the city of Taif decided to pardon the murderer of their son without payment, on the condition that the offender build a mosque in the city in the name of the victim.
According to the newspaper, "Okaz", the court in the Saudi governorate of Taif decided, on Tuesday, to ratify the pardon instrument for the killer, based on the decision of the victim's family.
The newspaper said that the parents stipulated the assignment in return for building a mosque in the city in the name of the victim, according to the requirements of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, and handing it over after its construction is completed to the ministry for full operation.
The parents also stipulated that the construction and handover operations take place within a period not exceeding one and a half years.
The court's decision was issued amid shouts of thanks and happiness to make the work in the balance of the good deeds of his parents.
The newspaper stated that the father of the dead man demanded the court to release the perpetrator as soon as possible.
On the other hand, the family of the perpetrator expressed its thanks and appreciation to the parents of the dead man, noting that it will remain indebted to them for a lifetime because they brought joy back to them.
According to the newspaper, the family of the murdered man decided to pardon the killer for free, despite offering them millions.
