The expectations of the president of “Moderna” company for the date of the end of the Corona pandemic

Today, Thursday, CEO of Moderna Biotechnology Company, Stefan Bancel, told the Swiss newspaper, "Neue Zürcher Zeitung", that he believes that the Corona pandemic may end within a year with the increase in vaccine production.

“Given the expansion of production capacities in this sector over the past six months, sufficient doses will be available by the middle of next year,” he explained in an interview with the newspaper.

So that the entire population of the world can be vaccinated.”

Stefan Bansel added that it is also possible that booster doses will be available in the required size, stressing in the context that vaccination will soon be available even for infants.

Bancel warned: “Those who will not receive the vaccine are from the highly contagious Delta strain.” He pointed out that “we will eventually find ourselves in a flu-like situation, either you receive the vaccine and have a good winter, or we don’t and you risk getting sick and the possibility that you will end up with the hospital".

Asked if this meant a return to normal in the second half of next year, he said: "Starting today, I suppose it will be in a year."

He indicated that he expects governments and authorities to agree to booster doses of the vaccine because patients who were vaccinated last fall need that dose “without a doubt.”
