  In 1949, Yuan Longping was admitted to the Department of Agriculture of Xianghui College in Xiaba, Beibei, Chongqing.

From November 1950 to July 1953, the department was adjusted and merged into the Department of Agronomy of Chongqing's newly-built Southwest Agricultural College (now Southwest University). Yuan Longping continued to study for 3 years until he graduated.

"At that time, our school history museum collected more than 2,000 cards from the site, and more than 400 were exhibited on site.   Afterwards, Southwest University gave Yuan Lao a new suitcase. The broken one was left at the school and was preserved by the school history museum until it was exhibited this time.
