On the 23rd of the middle day of the equinoctial week, families and others are visiting the graveyard in Kyoto City.

At Higashi Honganji Temple's "Otani Sobyo" in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, about 10,000 tombs are lined up on a slope overlooking the cityscape of Kyoto.

On the 23rd, the refreshing autumn sky spreads from the morning, and families with flowers and incense sticks are visiting the grave one after another.

The visitors quietly joined hands by pouring water on the tombstones and polishing them cleanly and offering flowers.

A man in his 60s who came from Osaka with six family members said, "I came to report that my grandchildren are growing up well. I was thinking about whether to go to the grave because of the spread of the infection, but people I'm glad I was able to come while being careful not to touch as much as possible. "

According to Higashi Honganji, about 40,000 people are expected to visit Otani Sobyo during the equinoctial week until the 26th of this month.
