In her first look at the Arab and international cultural audience, and on the occasion of her first year, which the “Corona” crisis prevented from being celebrated, the Khawla Foundation for Art and Culture chose to overlook its audience through a huge work worthy of the institution and its operators in the “Dubai Opera”.

The foundation's first exhibition, entitled "Unity in Diversity", which kicks off this 28th, highlights its artistic cultural activity and its interest in plastic arts such as drawing, sculpture, decoration and Arabic calligraphy, collected in nearly 50 works by about 40 male and female artists from 17 countries around the world.

The exhibition highlights the diversity of the Foundation's interests in the cultural fields, as language did not stand as a stumbling block, nor did the difference of nationalities prevent the convergence of goals.

Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Al Suwaidi, President of the Foundation, participated in the exhibition through special paintings in calligraphy, the foundations and details of which were imbued since childhood. Her mark is evident in her artwork.

And the calligraphy that bears the imprint of Sheikha Khawla, is a unique font that does not follow the laws followed for each font.

Her paintings are also characterized by words, colors and ideas emanating from the depths, as they show tolerance in its best forms, from color, letters and words.

And I dedicated to the soul, a space of drawn words with a lot of depth.

The exhibition, which has a variety of works, will reflect the cultural face of the institution, which has devoted a special place to the Khawla Cultural Council, which, since its inception years ago, has been discussing monthly multi-directional cultural seminars, in painting, color, calligraphy, light, and poetry.

The exhibition highlights the cultural activities and schools of Arabic calligraphy that award certificates in calligraphy at the hands of great calligraphers in the Arab world.

Discussions between the artist and the audience

On the sidelines of the "Unity in Diversity" exhibition, which starts on 28th of this month and will run until 12th of next October, discussions will be organized between the artist and the public, and dialogues that nourish the cultural spirit.

The exhibition is the first official appearance of the Khawla Foundation for Art and Culture, which was chosen to be in the Dubai Opera, and it will go to other spaces.
