In less than two days after the group BTS's 'Permission to Dance' video at the United Nations Headquarters was released, it set a record of exceeding 12 million views on the United Nations' official YouTube account.



The BTS UN headquarters performance video posted by the United Nations at 10 pm on the 20th has surpassed 12.2 million views as of 3 pm today (22nd), the highest number of views among all videos on the UN YouTube account.



In its introduction to the video, the United Nations called BTS a "K-pop sensation" and wrote, "This video is intended to resonate with the audience about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and to inspire action."




Other videos of BTS uploaded to the UN YouTube account have also been viewed millions of times, with the UN headquarters interview video recording 3.42 million views and two speeches at the UN General Assembly recording 3.54 million views.



BTS previously attended the high-level meeting of the Sustainable Development Goals held at the UN General Assembly in New York, USA as a 'Presidential Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture'.



They delivered a message of hope to the younger generation through their speeches and also released a performance video of 'Permission to Dance' set at the UN headquarters.
