The prefect of Vaucluse has taken the decision to lift from this Tuesday the obligation to present a health pass to access the shopping centers of the department.

The passport was necessary since mid-August to enter these sites when their surface reached 20,000 m2 or more.

The measure follows the improvement of the local health situation and the slowdown in the circulation of Covid-19, indicates France Bleu Vaucluse.

The incidence rate of the coronavirus in the department has fallen below the bar of 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

This is the threshold below which the government had indicated that the health pass would no longer be requested at the reception of large shopping centers.

The departmental positivity rate stands at 2.1%, the prefect also announced in a press release on Monday.

Other measures remain in force

"It is necessary to maintain the efforts and the means to fight against the spread of the virus in the face of the urgency of more dangerous variants and a fourth wave of contaminations", estimated the local authorities.

The abrogation of the sanitary pass does not concern the other places where it was requested.

Wearing a mask remains compulsory outside in certain situations.

Protection is particularly required in the event of prolonged contact with other people, the impossibility of practicing physical distancing or in areas with high occupation density.
