  First of all, our ginger must be sun-dried, because our ginger will become whiter and more brittle after the sun is finished. When the sun comes out every morning, we will take the ginger outside to dry, and we will dry it almost twice. Three hours.

Another feature of our ginger is that it must be torn by hand. Like tea, our ginger cannot touch any metal or knife. It will absorb the peculiar smell on it. If it is cut with a metal knife, Its metallic taste will also remain on it.

  [Explanation] Hu Tingting originally studied art and design. After graduating from university, she learned from her elders that fewer and fewer people are planting ginger uphold the ancient method, and are facing the risk of loss.

In 2018, she quit her job and returned to her hometown to learn how to grow white ginger with her parents.

  When we first started farming, we participated in the whole process. My husband and I have been planting land with my father for nearly two years. After discussing with the team members, Hu Tingting decided to redesign the packaging and brand of Tongling White Ginger to give Tongling White Ginger more cultural connotation and promote the product through the Internet.
