Data shows that on the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on September 19, the national railways sent 10.483 million passengers and 10067 trains.
On September 20, the national railways sent 7.302 million passengers, and the transportation was safe and orderly.
China Railway Group stated that in September, in response to the peak return passenger flow from railways, local railway departments coordinated epidemic prevention and control and transportation organization, continued to increase transportation capacity, optimized transportation organization, and launched a variety of service measures based on the actual needs of passengers.
In response to the cooling weather, Harbin Bureau Group Corporation started heating work for passenger trains in Mohe, Gulian and other places, as well as passenger trains in Mangui and Jiagedaqi directions, to provide passengers with a warm travel environment.
Wuhan Bureau Group Company opened 32 more trains and re-connected 36 EMUs.
Xi'an Bureau Group Company runs 157 round-trip EMU trains between Xi'an and Chengdu, with an average of 5 minutes, satisfying passengers wherever they go.
Shanghai Bureau Group Corporation increased the supply of transportation capacity in popular directions, and opened 98 passenger trains in popular directions from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hefei to Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Nanchang, Huangshan, and so on, and 243 multiple EMU trains were re-operated.
Jinan Bureau Group Company opened 33 more passenger trains to Qingdao, Yantai, Linyi and other directions, adding 51,000 passenger seats.
Guangzhou Bureau Group Corporation has opened 21 additional night high-speed trains, and set up "urgent passenger channels" at each entry channel to ensure that passengers can travel quickly.
Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. coordinated with the local transportation department and the "high-speed rail trolley station" to open 32 more shuttles in Nanning East and Liuzhou railway stations to solve the problem of the "last mile" of passenger travel.
Chengdu Bureau Group Corporation has added 153 EMUs on popular lines such as Chengdu-Chongqing Intercity, Chongqing-Guizhou Railway, and Chengdu-Guizhou High-speed Railway.
