The extended health pass just in case?
Olivier Véran spoke on Monday after the Prime Minister's entourage announced a bill to extend this tool.
Adopted in Parliament last July, the health pass is currently in place until November 15.
Only a new law would authorize its application beyond this deadline.
However, the Minister of Health assured that the use of the pass would not be systematic in all territories.
"We need a law which in the long term without forcing us to use the tool, allows us to use it if the situation requires it", he justified.
According to him, the government may as well "activate it when necessary" and "lighten it when possible" depending on the epidemic situation.
"When you are in a period of decline of an epidemic wave, when the virus circulates less, we respect this principle of proportionality and territorialization of measures, that is to say that we must be able to say" this measure - it is no longer essential in this territory at that time ".
This has been our philosophy from the start, ”explained the Minister of Health.
