The "Japan's No. 1 Pumpkin Tournament" was held in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, to compete for huge pumpkins that weigh hundreds of kilograms.

This tournament is a national tournament that competes for the weight of huge pumpkins brought in from various places, and is held every year at this time in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture.

A total of about 50 huge pumpkins from Yamanashi and Nagano prefectures, including local farmers, were brought to the venue by truck.

After the tournament officials moved it to the measuring table with a forklift, weighed it, and when it exceeded the 100 kg mark, applause was sent to the producers.

A man from a farmer in Yamanashi prefecture who raised pumpkins weighing more than 300 kg said, "I carefully raised them from morning till night. I want to aim for the best in Japan next year."

For the 35th time, as a measure to prevent the spread of infection, we did not bring pumpkins from the areas where the local convention was already held, but participated in the data.

The winner was the man who won the prefectural tournament in Mie Prefecture and participated in the data, and the pumpkin weighed 394 kg.

Mikio Hasuike, Chief of the Tonosho Town Commerce and Tourism Division, said, "I wanted to leave an opportunity for the producers to show off their pumpkins, so I decided to hold it. Next year, Corona will end and it will be as usual. I hope we can do it on a scale. "
