A sixteen-year-old Yemeni girl kills her father, an officer, and injures her mother and brother

A heinous crime shook the Yemeni governorate of Taiz yesterday morning, Saturday, where a girl of sixteen years of age killed her father and wounded her mother and brother.

In the details, Bushra shot her father, an officer in the Ministry of Interior, Bashir Mahyoub Al-Tamimi, with a pistol, killing him instantly inside the house in the village of Hajar Sinwan of the Al-Ma’afer district in the southern countryside of Taiz.


Upon hearing the shooting, the girl's mother rushed to her husband's room, and her daughter shot her twice, causing the mother to fall to the ground.

Local media also reported that while Bushra was on her way out of the house, her brother Bashar tried to take the pistol from her, but she also shot him.

In addition, the neighbors managed to arrest the girl, took her into one of the rooms of her house and stole the pistol from her.


Local sources confirmed that Bushra enjoys great love from her father, and she is an outstanding high school student, noting that the security authorities in the Al-Ma'afer Directorate received the girl, while the investigation is still underway to uncover the circumstances of the crime.

It is noteworthy that the father's body was buried this afternoon, while his wife and son were taken to a hospital in the city of Taiz, and their health is stable.
