[Explanation] At 13:34 on September 17, 2021, Beijing time, the return capsule of the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft successfully landed at the Dongfeng landing site. The three astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo exited the capsule safely and in good physical condition. , The first manned mission of the space station stage was a complete success.

[Explanation] The Shenzhou 12 astronaut crew worked and lived in the space station complex for 90 days this time, setting a record for Chinese astronauts’ space residence time in a single mission.

After such a long life in space returns, how long does it take for astronauts to resume normal work and life?

[Concurrent] Wu Dawei, Deputy Chief Designer of Astronaut System, Researcher of China Astronaut Research and Training Center

Short-term flights are different from long-term flights. For long-term flights, we usually design a longer recovery period for the entire isolation period. The strictest isolation period is still one week. This is the same as the isolation system implemented before the flight. , After a relatively (relative) two-week isolation period, the entire first phase of recovery can be completed.

Entering the recuperation stage, after the recuperation stage, we will have a process of long-term monitoring, tracking, and follow-up until their entire body is completely restored to the previous state.

[Explanation] The health of the astronauts is always the most important thing. For three months, a group of silently dedicated "behind the scenes" staff stood by their posts 24 hours a day to escort the astronauts.

[Concurrent] Chen Xin, Researcher of China Astronaut Research and Training Center, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Astronaut System

We gave the astronaut a plan about his work, life, and health protection.

In the process of mission implementation, we combined our plan to adjust and optimize the plan based on the actual situation in orbit, and at the same time strengthen communication with the astronauts.

We are there 24 hours a day, we have dedicated fixed positions, the focus is on astronaut instructors, doctors, as well as the relevant positions of our entire mission planning and product monitoring positions, which are mainly on duty 24 hours a day.

[Concurrent] Chen Yunfei, Deputy Chief Designer, General Office of China Astronaut Research and Training Center

In the process of work, because it is the person closest to the astronaut, it will be more cordial to communicate with him, and I hope to convey to him our belief that our state will affect his state, so leaders at all levels treat us All of the requirements are for us to have a kind of spiritual vitality that can be conveyed to the astronauts.

[Explanation] The staff said that although these three months have been very hard, they have gained a lot.

The complete success of the Shenzhou 12 manned mission has laid a more solid foundation for the construction and operation of the subsequent space station.

[Concurrent] Chen Yunfei, Deputy Chief Designer, General Office of China Astronaut Research and Training Center

Generally speaking, it is definitely harder, but the harvest is also great.

I should have gotten pregnant after taking part in the mission. Although I may have some physical discomfort in the early stage, I will definitely stick to the scene.

I hope that through this process, there is some commemorative significance, and it is also a kind of exercise for myself.

[Concurrent] Chen Xin, Researcher of China Astronaut Research and Training Center, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Astronaut System

Before the mission, all of us estimated that this mission would be very nervous and very busy, but as the mission continues to advance, I feel that these three months seem to be over at once, and today I feel that we will carry out such a long-term follow-up. The manned flight is very confident, and we also want to improve the subsequent working mode.

We still have a long-term and long-term residency mission, so we must have a scientifically complete and effective coordination and working mechanism to ensure that our mission advances.

Therefore, I am also very fortunate to participate in this three-month manned mission. I also hope to make more efforts and contributions in the follow-up missions.
