A 19-year-old female college student was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for stealing a luxury watch worth 13 million yen from a man he met through a matching app.

He said that he was doing so-called "papa activity" to get money instead of eating and dating, and he stated to the investigation that "I wanted money to tribute to the host".

The person arrested was a 19-year-old female university student living in Minato-ku, Tokyo.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, it is suspected that a 37-year-old company officer who met through a matching app stole a luxury watch worth 13 million yen at a hotel in Minato Ward this July.

College students are doing so-called "daddy activities" where they get money instead of eating or dating, and there is a suspicion that a man stole his watch while taking a shower and ran away and cashed it at a pawn shop.

A man consulted with the Metropolitan Police Department and discovered the damage, admitted to the investigation and stated that he wanted money to tribute to the host. He thought he would be arrested eventually.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that college students are suspected of stealing a total of 22 million yen worth of watches from about 10 other men they met through the matching app.
