China is the origin of chestnuts, and chestnut cultivation has a history of more than 3,000 years.

As one of the main producing areas of "Jingdong Chestnut", Zunhua City has cultivated a chestnut economic forest belt of more than 50 kilometers and a total area of ​​400,000 mu along the northern Great Wall. The annual output of chestnut is 50,000 tons, and the output value of chestnut processing products reaches 100 100 million yuan.

Zunhua City has successively won the "Hometown of Chinese Chestnut" and "National Green Ecological Chestnut Demonstration City".

In 2018, "Zunhua Chestnut" passed the review of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and became a national geographical indication certification trademark.
