A comprehensive investigation will be carried out on potential disaster areas such as hidden danger points of geological disasters, reservoirs, bridges, and storage warehouses for hazardous chemicals.

　　China Earthquake Networks officially determined that a magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred in Lu County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province (29.20 degrees north latitude, 105.34 degrees east longitude) at 4:33 on September 16, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

The epicenter was 124 kilometers away from the border of Chongqing, and some districts and counties in Chongqing felt the earthquake.

　　Affected by the magnitude 6.0 earthquake disaster in Luxian County, Chongqing's Rongchang and Jiangjin districts, which are close to the epicenter, have respectively initiated regional level III and IV emergency responses to earthquake disasters.
