  As of 05:00 on September 16, the earthquake caused some houses to collapse.

Two people have been found dead and three injured in Caoba Village, Fuji Town, Lu County.

  The Luzhou Emergency Committee has mobilized 24 vehicles and 123 people in the city's fire rescue detachment, 4 vehicles and 38 people in the city's comprehensive emergency rescue detachment, 10 vehicles and 54 people in the Luxian Comprehensive Emergency Rescue Brigade, and 180 military militia members, and activated the military-local coordination and linkage mechanism. Reported to the Luzhou Detachment of the Armed Police Force to dispatch 20 people in three vehicles and have arrived at the epicenter to carry out emergency rescue.
