The 86th edition of the International Fair of Metz (FIM), organized from September 24 to October 4, will be placed under the sign of “Better living and living differently”.

The event will feature 350 stands and host seven exhibitions.

The objective is to highlight traditional artisans and local artists, explained to

Lorraine Actu

Michel Coqué, director of Metz Evénement.

Celebration and sanitary measures

After a 2020 edition disrupted by the health crisis linked to the coronavirus, the organizer intends to "create a festive and musical atmosphere".

The fair will not be subject to any limit on the gauge, but visitors will have to present a health pass.

It will be possible to carry out an antigen test before entering the fair.

Michel Coqué "strongly recommended" the wearing of a mask, which will not however be compulsory.

Three of the eleven opening days will be extended by nocturnes.

The work of wood, iron and glass will be highlighted in the different thematic sections of the FIM.

These will be devoted in particular to habitat, practical innovations, fashion and beauty, gastronomy and furnishings and decoration.

Entertainment and dining areas are planned outside.
