A 58-year-old cyclist was killed by a heavy weight this Wednesday in Vénissieux.
The accident occurred at the end of the morning, around 11:30 am, at rue Fernand-Pelloutier.
The truck struck the victim, who became trapped under the vehicle.
On the spot, the emergency services failed to revive the man, in cardio-respiratory arrest.
The Traffic Accidents and Crime Brigade (BADR) has opened an investigation to find out the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
The driver, in shock, was transported to Edouard-Herriot hospital and has therefore not yet been able to respond to investigators.
