Typhoon Chantu, which was staying in the far sea southwest of Jeju Island, will gradually approach Korea today.

In the afternoon, it will come up to the distant sea of Jeju, about 280 km, and it is predicted that it will pass the southern sea of Seogwipo in the morning of tomorrow and pass through the Alternative Strait on the Kyushu side of Japan in the afternoon.

The intensity has weakened somewhat and Jinro has moved a little further south, but Jeju and the southern regions will be directly affected by the typhoon, resulting in heavy rain.

Even now, it is raining in the Jeju area, and after it gradually extends to the southern regions, it will rain in most of the country at dawn tomorrow.

Up to tomorrow, heavy rains of 400 mm or more are expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju, and heavy rains of 120 mm or more are expected in many places in eastern Jeollanam-do and along the Gyeongnam coast.

Here, strong winds will blow over Jeju and the southern regions.

If the maximum instantaneous wind speed is 30 to 40 m/s, it is a strong wind that will cause the sign to fall off, so you need to make sure that there is nothing flying around.

This rain will start to stop gradually from the west tomorrow, and most of it will be finished in the evening.
