The event was to take place on Saturday, October 16, and attract 40,000 visitors.
The festival, where DJs such as Afrojack, Tiësto, Nicky Romero, Armin van Buuren and David Guetta would perform, was almost sold out.

The organization is still working on setting up an alternative show to celebrate the award ceremony.
Festival organizer ALDA has already announced that the 2022 edition of AMF will take place on Saturday 22 October.
Outgoing Prime Minister Rutte announced during a press conference on Tuesday evening that catering and clubs will remain closed for the time being from midnight to 6 am.
Unseated outdoor events will be allowed to resume at full capacity from September 25, provided the public can show proof of vaccine, recovery from infection, or recent testing (24 hours or less). Unseated events that take place indoors may receive 75 percent of the audience capacity.
