On the Chaoshan land, there are many ancestral halls dedicated to the ancestors of the Song and Yuan dynasties.

  Walking into these old shrines, one after another carefully traced family stories far beyond the Song and Yuan dynasties, they rushed to tell the endless blood multiplication and cultural inheritance of the Chinese nation after Yashan.

  Entering the gate, passing through the patio, and in the shrine above the lobby, the main seat is the god of Zhang Siyin, the ancestor of the family.

  During the Southern Song Dynasty, during the Northern War, a large number of northern Han people moved south. Si Yingong came to Guangdong from Fujian in the late Song Dynasty and served as an instructor in Huizhou's subordinate counties.

In order to avoid the chaos of the war, Siyin surveyed the geography and selected the place along the Long River to build a foundation. It has been more than 700 years now.

  Siyin had three sons, but did not live in Longjiang. The eldest son Fenggong moved to Gangtou Township, Chaoyang County at the end of the Song Dynasty. In the second year of Xiangxing, the second son Longyang moved to Chaozhou Anbu Guanlu Township, accompanied by his third son Qinghegong. Parents stayed at Longjiang.

  The second year of Xiangxing was the year of the Yashan naval battle.

  The destruction of the country and the separation of children and grandchildren in many places was the helpless move of many Southern Song survivors at that time, but they were also foresight.

  The grandsons of the three houses, one or two hundred miles apart, have branched and multiplied since then, and have been taking care of each other.

  Gong Si Yin and his three sons were both scholars of the Song Dynasty. The dynasties have changed, but the tradition of reading has never ceased, and the Chinese culture has never ceased.

  Zhang Siyin is a school of culture and education, heirs of poetry and books, and the descendants of the past generations have come out of great talents. It is clearly recorded that there are more than ten scholars such as Zhang Jing, Juren Zhang Yiyan, Zhang Yourong, Zhang Denglin, Zhang Geng, etc., and dozens of tribute students.

  The Zhang family's style of writing not only educated the children and grandchildren, but also blessed the hometown, and the Zhang family was most proud of being the division of the two houses and one line of the Chaozhou official road. In the mid-Ming Dynasty, they cultivated a generation of famous ministers in the Lingnan, the Shangshu Weng of the Ministry of War. Wanda.

  Weng Wanda, named Dongya, Jinshi in the 5th year of Jiajing (1526), ​​was an official to the Ministry of War, and both left and right. He participated in the suppression of the Annan Mordenyong rebellion in the early years. In the later period, he supervised the three sides for many years and made extraordinary achievements.

  Zhang Juzheng commented: "Weng Wanda was the second to none in the Jiajing period!"

  The Emperor Jiajing also praised it as: "Wen is enough to Anbang, and Wu is enough to fight chaos."

  Zhang Liangqiang, Chairman of the Zhang Family Council of Guanlu: Wanda Gong was poor when he was a child. When we saw him as a talent, we took it in our study and education, and later we married our daughter to him.

This is the place where Wanda Gong lived.

  Weng Wanda, who knew the grace of the encounter, the love of the knot, and achieved fame, engraved this kind of grace on the gate of the Zhang family's ancestral hall, and it has survived to this day.

  In the 29th year of Jiajing, the Zhang family rebuilt the family temple on the official road, and Weng Wanda, who had been in the Ministry of War, personally wrote "The Zhang Family Temple", and reverently signed the "Book of Worship to Dongya Weng Wanda"; Lin Daqin, a fellow scholar, was also invited to write the name "Yongsitang" for the Zhang family.

  The "Shangshuying" in the entrance hall of the ancestral hall was also the main beam selected by Weng Wanda himself from Wuyi Mountain in Fujian. It has been rebuilt many times over the past five hundred years and remains here today.

  A hundred miles away from the official road, in Gangtou Township, Chaonan, Shantou, the cottages traverse several miles and are spectacular.

This is where the descendants of Zhang Siyin's eldest son live together.

  In more than 700 years, the grandson of the long house has not only developed into the well-known local "Gang Tau Zhang" giant clan, but also moved abroad, with more than 200,000 people, and the spiritual holy land shared by these descendants is the chief priest Zhang Siyin. The "Zhang Clan Ancestral Temple".

  In the ancestral hall, the achievements of Zhang's ancestors, with plaques and lanterns hanging high, and the power of ancestors' example, inspire future generations to work hard and contribute to society!

  In the era of the Great Revolution, the surname Zhang, the leader of Hong Kong, rebelled against reactionary oppression with an ancestral hall as the center, and dozens of descendants died successively.

In recent years, posterity has displayed these revolutionary deeds in this ancestral hall, and the ancestral hall of the Zhang clan has become a famous "red ancestral hall".

  Over the past 700 years, Zhang Siyin’s descendants have multiplied hundreds of thousands, spread all over the world, and talented people have emerged in large numbers. In contemporary times, there are "Thai Rice King" Zhang Chaojiang, Malaysian super-rich Zhang Siqing, Chinese national brand "Yashili" founder Zhang Litian and other business giants. There are also political elites such as Zhang Dengfu, Minister of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand, Zhang Guoxing, and Lieutenant General Zhang Rucheng, former political commissar of the Chinese Garrison in Hong Kong.

  On the day of the big sacrifice, the representatives of Zhang Siyin's descendants, who lived in different places, would return to the Zhang's Ancestral Hall in Xiangbei Village, Longjiang, to pay homage to the ancestors of the past generations, and to narrate the kinship of the flesh and blood.

They have different achievements and different accents, but they all have a common identity: the descendant of Zhang Siyin, a Song Dynasty man.

  Clan like Zhang Siyin is not uncommon in Chaoshan area.

  Tang Jinshi Hong Gui, a Shangshu from the Ministry of Industry, was later relegated to Chaozhou governor. The elderly settled in Chaoyang with his family, and his descendants lived separately at home and abroad, with hundreds of thousands.

  Ma Rong, a jinshi in the Northern Song Dynasty, and a transshipment envoy on Guangnan East Road, entered the tide in Shaoxing in 17 years. Later generations developed into the "Peace Ma". The founder of New China's acoustics, Ma Dayou, and Tencent founder Ma Huateng, belong to his tribe.

  In the Northern Song Dynasty, the brothers Chen Zeng and Chen Tan were appointed as Cheng of Chaoyang County and the prefect of Haiyang.

  Yuan Chen of the Northern Song Dynasty, Qingli Jinshi, served as Shangshu of the Ministry of War.

In the sixth year of Yuanfeng, he was relegated to Chaozhou governor because he opposed Wang Anshi's Young Miao Law.

After staying in Chaozhou, he created the "Changmei Yuan Family" on the banks of the Rongjiang River.

  Through the special ties of ancestral halls and clan culture, families have flourished, and the traditional Chinese thoughts and concepts that our ancestors have adhered to have been passed down from generation to generation.
