Seismologists have registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 in the northwest of Argentina. This was announced by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
As noted, the epicenter of the earthquake was 175 km west of the city of San Salvador de Jujuy.
The earthquake source was located at a depth of 171 km.
Earlier, seismologists recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 in the Pacific Ocean near the Kuriles.
