Outside the window are factories and uneven ground, and inside the window are desks, rice paper and ink paintings.

On September 6, in Qizhai Village, Yuqiuhu Street, Gaotang County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, 77-year-old Qin Bingzhong was painting goldfish, surrounded by a large group of children. He is a farmer painter and the "grandfather" of the children. The owner of the studio is Qin Meike, a young painter who graduated from Shandong Academy of Arts. In life, Qin Bingzhong is Qin Meike’s true "grandfather".

Since 2018, this country studio has opened up another quiet and beautiful world for children in the country.

"They have their own world in their hearts"

Qin Meike was born in Qinzhuang Village, Liulisi Town, Gaotang County in 1991. “I am also a rural person. When I was a child, I wanted to travel to the city and had to walk nearly 30 kilometers.” Before graduating from Shandong University of Arts in 2016, he served in the army for two years.

After graduation, "in order to exercise the courage and eloquence in lectures," he first went to a supermarket to work as a shopping guide for three months, and then worked as an art teacher for more than a year in an art school, and finally brought more than 10,000 yuan in 2018. , Founded a studio for village children to learn painting.

There are nearly 100 students in the studio this semester, with a three-hour class once a week, and the annual tuition is 2,000 yuan.

More than 90% of them come from the surrounding villages, Dazhao Village, Eryang Village, Sunwuli Village, Guowuli Village, Luwuli Village... Qin Meike can remember all the children’s homes, "This child’s home belongs to Guowuli Village. It’s the third year since the first grade.” The 9-year-old boy was shy when he heard the teacher introduce himself to a stranger, and walked into the studio quickly with his head down.

Sun Jinghan, who was in the third grade at the beginning of school, has been learning painting since the establishment of the studio. She likes anime and crouched on the table and copied a portrait of a girl with short hair, which looks the same as the original picture.

Lin Leyang, 6 years old this year, drew a grinning big whale. He said that when he grows up, he wants to be a scientist working in the ocean.

"Children who like to paint are not too naughty, generally introverted, and have their own world in their hearts." Qin Meike said.

At the most, Qin Meike took more than one hundred children.

There are many factories near the studio and the traffic is relatively busy. In order to keep active students away from the vehicles, he will yell at the children, "Actually, it is much harder to care for children than to teach them to paint."

Teaching painting is more than just passing skills

In the small painting room, Old Man Qin Bingzhong drew three goldfish, and then slowly said, "It is harder to draw a fish than to draw a shrimp and a crab. The elegance of the fish in the water is hard to describe. You must understand the principle of'change'."

Qin Bingzhong only understood the "change" in 1978. That summer, his father's friend introduced him to Chen Zuohuang, one of the "Five Olds of Shandong" in the book world.

"I wrote a "Guidelines for Family Governance" at home, and before dawn, I took my work and went straight to the provincial capital to find Mr. Chen." Whoever thought, Chen Zuohuang said after taking the word: There is no art at all.

Qin Bingzhong's heart suddenly became cold.

Thinking of what happened forty years ago, Qin Bingzhong was still shocked by Chen Zuohuang’s seriousness, “Mr. will never turn a corner to speak. If you are wrong, you will be criticized when you come up.” Chen Zuohuang told Qin Bingzhong that calligraphy was required. There was a change, "If you don't learn from the ancients, there is nothing in the law. It's all like the ancients, where is me? Later, I stayed at home for two years and showed it to Mr. Chen before Mr. Chen said, "It's OK."

Accompany each other in the studio

At 3:30 in the afternoon, some mothers stood outside the painting room. “Basically, mothers come to pick up their children. Because the fathers are too busy, they usually drive large trucks, do maintenance or work on construction sites, and they don’t have time to pick up and drop off their children.” Qin Meike He took the initiative to meet a mother and talked to him. The other party told him that the child's handwriting is now more neatly written than before.

"Teacher, do you know? At the end of this semester, I scored 103.5 on the Chinese test." Zhang Tianjiao, 7 years old, quietly came to Qin Meike's side during the break from get out of class and reported the news to him.

"The full score of the Chinese test in elementary school now is 105 points, which is 5 more points." 10-year-old Liu Jinqiu wants to be a doctor. She thinks that she can go to get off work on time. "Dad used to repair the air conditioner. Moving bricks. When I get home at night, my clothes are all black. My father is busier than my mother, and I can't see people all day long."

"In these years, I always feel that the children in rural areas get too little company. Normally fathers are not at home, and some families and parents are not at home." One year, Qin Meike sent a child home almost every day, "We take the children After being sent home, the child turned on the lights alone and sat and waited for his parents to return home."
